Integration. Any Hardware.

The Problem KIK Solves
"Every kiosk and ATM manufacturer historically required custom integration work, custom protocols, and bespoke certification β€” driving up cost, slowing down deployment, and locking operators into specific hardware. KIK eliminates that. Hardware vendors apply once, certify once, and ship integrated kiosks and ATMs that work natively with IMS, KashME, BlackBox, Butler, and the AXES blockchain certification layer."

Why KIK

The end of bespoke kiosk integration.

KIK replaces a fragmented, costly, per-deployment integration model with a single, well-documented standard that any hardware manufacturer can implement once and ship globally.

One Integration. Every Kiosk.

Certify once against the AXES KIK specification and ship integrated kiosks and ATMs across your entire product line β€” no custom development per deployment, no bespoke protocols.

Hardware Freedom for Operators

Operators choose hardware vendors based on operational preference β€” not integration compatibility. Any KIK-certified kiosk or ATM works natively with IMS from day one.

Full Cashless & TiTo at the Kiosk

Cashless purse reads and adjustments, TiTo ticket redemption and generation, rewards balance reads β€” the complete AXES cashless operation set, available at every certified kiosk.

One Data Lake. One Source of Truth.

Every kiosk and ATM transaction flows into the same IMS data pipeline as slot-floor activity β€” unified reporting, real-time operator visibility, no data silos.

Remote Firmware Management

Kiosk and ATM firmware is managed remotely from IMS β€” the same version control, update, and rollback model used for floor BlackBoxes. No on-site IT required.

Butler-Ready Engagement

KIK-certified kiosks become a natural extension of the Butler player engagement layer β€” enabling KashME redemptions and Butler wallet interactions at the point of transaction.

Dual Transport Support

KIK supports both TCP socket (Telnet-style, comma-delimited) and RS-232 serial communication β€” accommodating modern and legacy kiosk hardware without hardware replacement.

Regulator-Grade Security Architecture

The AXES BlackBox embedded inside the kiosk acts as the host; the kiosk acts as the client. Audit data stays on the AXES side β€” clean, secure, regulator-grade by design.

Structured Certification Program

A four-stage certification program takes a new hardware partner from application to live deployment on a predictable timeline β€” with AXES test lab certification before any customer ship.

How It Works

From kiosk hardware to IMS data in four steps.

01

BlackBox Embedded

An AXES BlackBox is embedded inside the kiosk or ATM. It acts as the host β€” managing all IMS communication, audit logging, and firmware β€” while the kiosk acts as the client.

02

KIK Protocol Active

The kiosk communicates with the BlackBox via the KIK standardized protocol β€” TCP socket or RS-232. Cashless reads, TiTo operations, rewards queries, and events all flow through this single interface.

03

IMS Records in Real Time

Every transaction, event, and state change is recorded in IMS in real time β€” identical to slot-floor activity. One data lake. One source of truth. Available to operators instantly.

04

Blockchain Certified

Every transaction routed through KIK is anchored in the AXES blockchain certification layer β€” immutable, regulator-grade, GLI-13 aligned, with GLI-16 on the 2026–2027 roadmap.

Kiosk & ATM Certification Program

Four stages from application to global distribution.

Any company that wants to connect a kiosk or ATM to the AXES platform applies through the AXES Kiosk & ATM Certification Program. Once certified, partners are listed on axes.ai and made available to AXES customers and resellers in more than forty countries.

Stage 1

Application

The manufacturer submits a partnership application via the AXES website. AXES reviews the hardware, target markets, and operational fit.

Stage 2

Technical Onboarding

Upon approval, the partner receives the AXES KIK Technical Specification, the integration protocol, and a development BlackBox unit.

Stage 3

Integration & Lab Test

The partner integrates the protocol, then ships a unit to the AXES test lab for certification against the IMS reference suite.

Stage 4

Certification & Listing

Once certified, the partner is added to the published list on axes.ai, listed in this product sheet, and made available to AXES customers and resellers worldwide.

IMS-Native

KIK does not connect to the AXES ecosystem. KIK is the AXES ecosystem β€” at the kiosk.

KIK-certified kiosks and ATMs are not peripheral devices bolted onto IMS. They are first-class nodes in the same operational fabric as floor BlackBoxes, KashME cashier terminals, and Butler player apps. One data lake. One source of truth. One audit trail.
